The Artist

I have been an artist and working in the creative arts since childhood. My artistic endeavors have covered the visual to the dramatic arts. Setting up a studio in the basement of the home I grew up in, I came to know the artist’s challenge at a very early age. As a teenager, I worked in oil paints and wire sculpture with sculpting always holding a fascination for me.

After a sojourn in an acting career in New York City for about 10 years, I came back to my love for the visual art form. For me, living and life is intimately connected to the artistic process and expression. In the creative process, I constantly experience myself as being renewed, brought to unknown territory that is beyond the place from which I start. Working in different mediums helps me to expand what I already know. The creative process is always fascinating no matter what the medium.

As Co-Director of the IAM Counseling and Retreat Center, whether doing the art of therapy, designing a workshop or an exercise for a group process, or doing my own art, the creative experience is an intricate part of my life.
